Privacy Notice

Last updated: 14 July 2026

We keep this short because we keep the data we hold short. This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

The Growth Department is a web design and growth agency based in Dublin, Ireland. For anything to do with your personal data, contact dan@thegrowthdepartment.ie.

2. What we collect

The only personal data this site collects is what you choose to submit through the application form:

  • your name;
  • your business name;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number, if you give it;
  • anything you write in your message.

We don't collect anything you don't type in.

3. Why we collect it

We use your application details for one purpose: to review your application and respond to it. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services, and, where you're applying to work with us, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We don't sell your data, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.

4. Where your data is processed

This site is hosted by Netlify, which also processes and stores form submissions on our behalf. Netlify is a US-based processor; where form data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, Netlify's data processing terms provide for safeguards recognised under EU data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses.

Our email is hosted by Google Workspace, so any email you send us, and our replies, are stored there.

5. How long we keep it

We keep application details only as long as we need them to assess and respond to your application, and afterwards for reasonable business record-keeping. If you'd like your details deleted sooner, email us and we'll delete them.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
  • have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
  • have your data deleted (erasure);
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email dan@thegrowthdepartment.ie. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's supervisory authority, at dataprotection.ie.

7. Cookies and analytics

Plainly: this site currently sets no analytics cookies and no marketing cookies. If that ever changes, we'll update this notice first and tell you what changed.

Questions about any of this? Email dan@thegrowthdepartment.ie you'll get a straight answer.
